Matthew Davis
Two Shows: 10pm &11:30pm
Matthew Davis is a rising young comedian full of energy ... and a lot of other stuff. Davis' first two years of standup were spent as the house emcee at The Comedy Club Stardome where he was fortunate enough to work with the likes of Dave Attell (who brought Davis to open for him during the filming of his DVD Your MouthÇÀǹÇÃs Not Pregnant in 2005), Dave Chappell, Kevin Pollack, and countless others. He's since performed in 2000-seat theaters, working with entertainers such as rock-a-billy artist and Sling Blade cast member Dwight Yoakam, and has gone on to log his own headlining dates at some of the best comedy clubs in the country (The Funny Bone in Highpoint, NC; the Punchline in Atlanta, GA; and The Stardome in Birmingham, AL for example). Matthew Davis has performed from Seattle to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas and everywhere in between, including two months as the requested feature performer on the “Mo Show” in Las Vegas (a gig he one day hopes to be paid for) where the Las Vegas magazine WhatÇÀǹÇÃs On compared his erratic on-stage behavior to watching a “tightly wound spring.”
Davis has written comedy sketches for The Jenny Jones Show, written script revisions and appeared in a video treatment entitled “Galleria” for Comedy Central, and currently writes for Jabtv.com as the youngest member of the writing team 5 Guys In A Garage. He has also written and produced his own short film projects. On stage, the 25-year-old ranting, raving, hyper-wow comedian sets his pace by illuminating his real-life experiences with off-the-cuff non sequiturs and material produced by an off track train of thought at full steam ahead. Through what he's learned from the past, to what he did this morning, nothing is sacred ... nothing is safe.
Ray DeVito
Two Shows: 10pm &11:30pm
"Unique, clever ... voice of comedy for the next generation."—Exponent, Baldwin Wallace College (campus newspaper)
One of the funniest young comedians working today, Ray DeVito blends high-energy comedy with unparagoned observations of every day life. Raised in a large Italian-Americanized family in Ohio, his unique views of life and analysis of pop culture has made him one of fastest rising stars on the circuit. From childhood to the enduring struggles of trying to adjust to adulthood, Ray's material touches on all of his life experiences and insecurities. Besides touring the nation's top comedy clubs, Ray is one of the most requested comedians on college campuses. Based in New York City, he is also quickly making an impact on the Manhattan comedy scene. In 2002, the 25-year-old comedian made his national television debut on the PAX network, as a featured performer on the David Lynch Show. He has since performed on the Lifetime network, been featured on Entertainment Tonight, and his first full-length comedy CD entitled 1647 Waterbury can be heard on XM Radio.
