About the Event
Legendary singer-songwriter and social justice activist David Crosby is a two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer. He was inducted as a member of both the iconic folk-rock band The Byrds, with whom he first rose to stardom, and the iconic Woodstock-era defining group Crosby, Stills & Nash. Crosby received widespread recognition for his songwriting and charismatic presence while a member of The Byrds. His signature electric folk-rock so evident on the hits “Eight Miles High” and “Turn! Turn! Turn!” influenced countless musicians. Crosby, Stills & Nash—renowned for their vocal harmonies, stellar musicianship and timeless songs—have been called the “voice of a generation.” Their self-titled debut album which earned them the 1969 Grammy for Best New Artist introduced classics, including the Crosby-penned tracks “Guinnevere” and “Wooden Ships.” Today, this album is included in Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Crosby’s newest album, “Lighthouse,” is an intimate, stripped-down set that highlights Crosby’s instantly recognizable voice, incisive songwriting and incomparable guitar work. The nine-song collection is due out in October.
