| Job Location: | Varies by event |
| Availability: | Merchandisers must be available to work evenings and weekends. |
| Job Function: | This position provides concession (i.e. snacks and beverages) and/or artist merchandise sales during WVU events (concerts, performing arts events, lectures, etc.). |
- Greet patrons as they are entering the venue. Use excellent customer service skills.
- Be able to serve customers in a friendly, efficient, and accurate manner.
- Set-up concession or merchandise stands. Create merchandise display.
- Count in and out merchandise accurately. Create an accurate and complete sales report.
- Adhere to all University and departmental guidelines regarding cash handling, security of money and customer service.
- Utilize superb cash handling and accounting practices to reconcile merchandise settlement at the conclusion of events.
- Advise patrons as to location of facility amenities and services.
- Be able to take an accurate inventory. Alert Supervisor of needed inventory.
- Assist with the cleanup of the venue following the event.
- Adhere to event dress code.
- Attend staff training and staff meetings.
- Work scheduled shift as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications for Employment:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
- WVU full-time student status
