About Jonah Goldberg
One of the most prominent young conservative journalists today, Jonah Goldberg is a contributing editor for "National Review" and the founding editor of its Internet version "National Review Online," for which he writes a popular feature called "The Goldberg File." Goldberg’s columns, which feature his blending of humor and insight, are nationally syndicated and appear regularly in major newspapers like the "Philadelphia Inquirer" and the "Kansas City Star." Goldberg also writes about politics and culture for a variety of popular and influential periodicals including "The New Yorker," "The Wall Street Journal" and "Slate."

In addition to having his work published nationwide, Goldberg is a regular political commentator on television, including appearances on "Larry King Live," Today," "Special Report with Brit Hume" and "NBC Nightly News." Goldberg also speaks on college campuses to spread the idea that political, media and cultural issues are both enlightening and entertaining.

About Peter Beinert
Peter Beinert is currently the editor of "The New Republic" where he has written about the changing politics of America’s cities, globalization and African politics and writes the "New Republic’s" signature "TRB" column weekly. A graduate of Yale University and winner of both Rhodes and Marshall (which he declined) scholarships for graduate study, Beinert wrote for "The New Republic," "Newsweek" and "London’s Financial Times" while studying international relations at Oxford University College. Also among his writing credits are "The New York Times," "the Wall Street Journal," "The Boston Globe," "Atlantic Monthly" and "Time," where he is a contributor.

Beinert is also a regular panelist on the "Final Round" segment of CNN’s Sunday show "Late Edition" and was awarded the Alpheus Henry Snow Prize for leadership and academic excellence at his Yale graduation.

Beinert and Golderg’s debate will cover the topic "Reds vs. Blues: The Question of Moral Values in America," specifically regarding the 2004 Presidential Election.
