I Can't Stop Loving You

DAVID KING (Executive Producer)
David was born into a show business family in the north of England. His father was a music hall comedian, his mother a dancer. It’s no wonder that he spent all of his life working in theatres, and is now one of this country’s most prolific and successful international producers with hit shows all over the world. David is the executive producer of Spirit Productions with offices in London and New York.

At any one time up to 20 of his shows are appearing around the globe, including resident productions in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Monte Carlo, Sydney and Toronto.

David’s Company also owns two prestigious theatres in America based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Branson, Missouri.

Shows currently in production around the world include Spirit of the Dance, Spirit of Broadway, Spirit of Christmas, Frank, Dean and Sammy, Le Grande Cirque, 12 Irish Tenors, Dancing Queen and many more.

GARY LLOYD (Director/Choreographer)
Award-winning Director/Choreographer Gary Lloyd has worked with many established artists which among others include: Cliff Richard; Dame Shirley Bassey; Pink; Anastasia; G4;Westlife; Will Young; Gareth Gates; Emma Bunton; Robbie Williams; Rachel Stevens; Natasha and Daniel Bedingfield (Brits 25); Kelly Clarkson; Girls Aloud; Liberty X; Blue; Atomic Kitten; Basement Jaxx; Soul II Soul and S Club 8.

Gary’s longstanding relationship with S Club 8 developed further with their own TV show for the BBC: I Dream—Gary choreographed all 13 episodes on location, working with Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd.

Other television credits include; Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Take Away; Bump N Grind (Trouble TV); Debenhams Spring/Summer 04 commercial; Simon Cowell’s X-Factor and Westlife’s TV special promoting their Rat Pack album Allow Us to Be Frank.

Arena tours as director/choreographer include American Idols Live US Tours Seasons 1- 3; G4 UK Tour 2005; Pop Idol UK Tour 2004; Superstars Germany Tour 2003 and S Club United Tour 2003.

Other credits include two Royal Gala Shows at the London Palladium and Theatre Royal Drury Lane; Associate Director/Choreographer for Oh! What A Night; Zorro the Musical (workshop Dir; Chris Renshaw), involvement with the UK & European Premieres for Superman Returns; High School Musical; Moulin Rouge; Shall We Dance; Hitch; Pearl Harbor; Spiderman; Britney Spears’ Crossroads; Minority Report; the 2002 & 2006 BAFTA Awards as choreographer and artistic director and involvement in The Queen’s Golden Jubilee Concert at the Palace.

Gary was the choreographer for the 2006 Turkish entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest, Sibel Tüzün.

In December 2004, Gary co-directed and choreographed the Scandinavian tour of Jesus Christ Superstar and in 2005 directed and choreographed the original US production of I Can’t Stop Loving You—The Music Of Ray Charles which transferred to the West End as The Genius of Ray Charles at the Theatre Royal Haymarket and subsequently toured the UK.

His recent work includes the US production of Spirit of Christmas at the prestigious Kodak Theatre; the 2006 UK Tour production of What A Feeling!; My Fair Lady at the Larnaca International Festival, Cyprus and most recently City Of Angels at the English Theatre, Frankfurt.

Gary’s most current project is directing and choreographing a musical revue based on the life and works of Barry Manilow.

Gary was also stage director and choreographer for the 2005 Royal Variety Performance in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen at the Wales Millennium Centre.

JUDITH ALYSON (Assistant Choreographer)
Judith trained at Laine Theatre Arts and started her career in the musical Oh! What a Night in Blackpool, returning to the show for two further runs in Manchester and London. Other stage credits include numerous Royal Variety Shows, Royal Galas and the Queen’s Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace. Switching from theatre to the pop world, Judith toured with Five, Gareth Gates and Pop Idol and she has countless PAs, award shows, pop videos and TV appearances to her credit. She has danced for Cher, Robbie Williams, Emma Bunton, Will Young, Rachel Stevens, Girls Aloud,The Darkness, Martine McCutcheon, Hearsay and many more. Judith has previously assisted Gary Lloyd on TV shows such as Bump ‘n’ Grind, Blue Peter, The X-Factor and productions such as, the G4 Summer Tour, Jesus Christ Superstar and What a Feeling. Judith is very pleased to be involved in this production of I Can’t Stop Loving You.

Previous productions include Frank, Dean and Sammy Theatre Royal Windsor, Indian Tour; Spirit of Christmas The Kodak Theatre, US Tour and UK Tour, Dancing Queen, Sporting Club Monte Carlo, and UK Tour; The Genius of Ray Charles,Theatre Royal Haymarket and UK Tour, An Evening with Sparky Adams, UK tour, and various variety performances. They also design one-off dresses and suits for major film and music stars. They have a design studio in Kensington London and New York.
