Annie, America’s beloved orphan, appeals to audiences with her pluck and indomitable spirit. Harold Gray, her creator, described Annie as “tougher than hell, with a heart of gold and a fast left, who can take care of herself because she has to.” And despite her trademark “blank”eyes, Annie’s perceptive vision recognizes villainy and pretense every time.

Daddy Warbucks

“Zillionaire” Daddy Warbucks offers Annie support as the surrogate father figure and oftentimes swoops into Annie’s life to save the day. He provides Annie with love, stability and values.

Personal History: A self-made man, Daddy Warbucks looks after his ward, Annie, with tenacity and affection. The industrial tycoon is noted for his belief in traditional values and independence.

Miss Hannigan

Head mistress of Annie’s orphanage, Miss Hannigan rules with an iron fist. She is disdainful of her charges and constantly thinks up new ways to make their lives miserable.

Personal History: A firm believer in the notion “Children should be seen and not heard,” Miss Hannigan is Annie’s arch-nemesis and biggest tormentor.

Grace Farrell

Grace is Oliver Warbucks personal secretary. She is a kind, intuitive woman who sees people for who they really are. She instantly recognizes Annie for the exceptional girl she is, and instantly recognizes Miss Hannigan for the schemer she is.

Personal History: Ever-loyal and compassionate in spirit, she is Warbucks’ dedicated assistant.

Rooster & Lily

Rooster is Miss Hannigan’s devious brother, and Lily is his floozy girlfriend. They are money-grubbing and dishonest.

Personal History: This pair sees no problem lying, cheating or stealing to get ahead of the game.
