Nine-time Grammy Award-winner Wynton Marsalis leads an ensemble that delves into jazz tradition with affection, musicality and drive, recreating the music of masters past and present with the energy of today as well as a rare understanding of the music's rich history. The big band performs a vast repertoire, from rare historic compositions to Jazz at Lincoln Center- commissioned works, including compositions and arrangements by Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Fletcher Henderson, and many more. Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra performances invariably celebrate the essential spirit of jazz at its absolute highest.
