Moscow Ballet’s “Great Russian Nutcracker” returns to the Creative Arts Center on its 25th Anniversary Tour. Known for its award-winning principal dancers, lavish costumes and exquisite artistry, the Moscow Ballet promises audiences of all ages a magical celebration of the holiday season. Forty classically-trained dancers will deliver an unforgettable performance complete with hand-painted sets, a 60-foot “growing” Christmas tree and the stunning Dove of Peace — all set to Tchaikovsky’s famous score. Critics agree, “Whimsical and imaginative storytelling blend with the richness of Russian classical dance to make the ‘Great Russian Nutcracker’ a performance not to be missed!” This show is always a sell-out so get be sure to get your tickets early.

The principal and featured dancers for our performance are:

Iryna Borysova, recipient of Bronze Medal from Ukraine’s International Ballet Competition named after Serge Lifar in Kiev, and a finalist at the Varna International Ballet Competition

Kostyantyn Vinovoy, Laureate of Serge Lifar International Ballet Competition in Ukraine and a participant in The Young Ballerina Festival in Nagoya, Japan

Veronika Hordina, First Place Winner for her performance of “Halitska Terpsichore” at the International Youth Competition of Choreography in Kiev

Olekseii Potiomkin, who won Silver at 3rd Istanbul International Ballet Competition, Bronze at International Ballet Competition Kiev and received a Diploma of Distinction at International Junior Competition named after Grigorovich.

National Tour

Nationally-touring productions exhibit the same quality seen on Broadway. Some shows use the same sets and costumes from the original Broadway production.
