WVUp All Night Planning

WVUp All Night is a free, late-night weekend program held every weekend during the Fall and Spring semesters. There are a variety of free activities, including game shows, Bingo, trivia, laser tag, interactive inflatable obstacle courses, plus bowling, billiards, a gaming lounge, DIY crafts and food. The purpose of this position is to plan activities that will keep the event fresh and relevant to students.
Job Location: Mountainlair

Pay Rate: $14.00/hour

Hours: Weekly hours will average 10-20.  Your supervisor will schedule you for a weekly in-office schedule for event planning.  You are also expected to work shifts at WVUp All Night regularly.

Expectations: The general expectations of your employment include the ability to research and execute an event intended for WVU students. This position requires the ability to create successful, impactful events with the student demographic in mind. You will be expected to brainstorm and research activities, communicate with vendors, and survey your audience.

Job Requirements: Must be organized, creative, and able to communicate professionally by phone and email. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Research and contact vendors
  • Work with a team to brainstorm new event ideas from a student perspective

  • Schedule bookings for WVUp All Night events

  • Act as a point of contact for vendors for logistics

  • Organize payment contracts and documents

  • Maintain semester calendar of events
  • Maintain yearly budget
  • Collaborate with other WVU departments and staff

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
