| Job Location: | Varies by event |
| Availability: | Student Stagehands must be available to work evenings, weekends, and some daytime
and overnight shifts as required by event schedules.

| Job Function: | This position provides labor assistance for WVU events (concerts, performing
arts, etc.)
|
| Hourly Rate: | $16 |
Qualifications
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50 lbs. plus)
• Ability to work for long periods of time on your feet, lifting and moving
equipment
• Excellent communications skills
• Ability to work in a team
• Problem-solving skills
• Excellent communications skills
• Substantial time availability
• Theatre background a plus
• Minimum of 2.0 cumulative GPA
• WVU full-time student status
Primary Responsibilities
• Build stage and set assemblies
• Erect scaffolding
• Hang drapes
• Lift and move equipment such as road cases, lighting instruments and sound
equipment
•
Load and unload trucks
• Implement emergency procedures as the need arises
• Assist with the cleanup of the facility at the conclusion of the event
• Adhere to event dress code
• Attend staff training and staff meetings
• Work scheduled shift as assigned
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor
