The primary purpose of this position is to manage a well-trained, welcoming, and responsive patron services team (ushers, ticket takers and security staff) to deliver high quality customer service to all patrons attending our events.
Job Location: Canady Creative Arts Center, Coliseum, Mountainlair &
other event locations
Pay Rate: $14.00/hour
# Hours: Weekly hours will average 10-20.
Job Requirements: Must be able to push/pull up to 150-pound carts full
of concession stock, be able to stand in place for a long period of time, be customer
service oriented and have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Train and manage FOH staff (ushers, ticket takers, concession/merchandise sellers).
- Manage FOH (front of house) activities (ticket scanners data uploaded, concession sales, merchandise sales, coat checks, guest services kiosk, patron signage, equipment, chairs, etc.).
- Maintain clear unobstructed egress and ingress.
- Assist patrons in locating seats, medical services, restrooms, concession/merchandise stands, etc.
- Resolve patron seating problems.
- Enforce policies regarding bag access, smoking, late-seating and camera usage.
- Manage lines and provide patron information for major event ticket on-sale days.
- Manage emergency evacuation activities, as directed by law enforcement and/or A&E management.
- Manage ADA standards.
- Manage merchandise and concessions sales activities (inventory, cash handling, reports, security, etc.).
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
