Nearly 8,000 people came out to see The Charlie Daniels Band perform at the Coliseum in October 1975.

The Monticola reported, "Charlie Daniels and the members of his band may claim to be just a bunch of 'long-haired country boys,' but they present some exceptionally fine Tennessee mountain-grown music that enthusiasts from the Appalachians to the Rockies can appreciate. The group's performance reached its zenith when Daniels got out his magic fiddle and the band swung into 'The South's Gonna Do it Again" and the perennial goodie "Orange Blossom Special.'"
