Pat Benatar's 1983 concert at the Coliseum was hugely popular with both students
and the Morgantown community – so much so that the negative review
that appeared in The Daily Athenaeum was met with a barrage of letters
to the editor countering the reviewer's opinion.
Benatar, one of the most popular female vocalists of the '80s, had just released her fourth studio album, "Get Nervous," and 9,505 fans packed the arena to hear her hit powerful vocals singles "Hit Me With Your Best Shot," "Heartbreaker" and "Shadows of the Night." |
